THE ROLE: Health & Safety Officer

POSITION: Dublin based across multiple sites. Travel to head office required for weekly meeting.

PACKAGE: depending on experience, vehicle/car allowance, mobile.

This is a full time permanent position with an immediate start.

Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections as directed by the company across all projects;

Ensuring that record of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipment;

Delivering and completing statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority for all projects and all incident / accident reporting and to conduct inspector site visits as required by the Health & Safety Authority;

Delivering Health & Safety induction programs where necessary

Managing health & safety at the company’s head office

Serving as representative as Site meetings;

Attending safety meetings as required.

Continuous development and enhancement of the company’s Health & Safety Management Systems

Completing Method statements and risk assessments for new and current projects.

Advising / assisting Site Management in drafting and communicating Method Statements;

Compiling, updating and communication site Emergency Plans

Conducting preliminary accident investigations and statutory notifications;

Making sure First Aiders are available, that an adequate quantity of First Aid supplies is in stock and that all relevant Certs are updated;

Collecting and collating relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File 

Instilling a strong Health & Safety discipline company wide including external working partnerships


Health and Safety Qualification degree or diploma with significant experience,

With 2-3+ years’ experience.

Previous experience managing safety on site.

Excellent communication, leadership & presentation skills. 

Strong individual

Experience in the construction industry.
