We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative. Someone who can organise, analyse, resolve issues and achieve results.
Initially, the successful candidate will work with others. As the candidate grows in confidence and experience, they will be expected to take on more responsibility and attend customer sites on their own to install, service, repair, troubleshoot and calibrate all types of weighing equipment and data capture and labelling systems.
Later, the potential exists to take on more responsibility in the management and pricing of jobs, the design of systems, the liaising with customers and the scheduling of activities.
The Role Includes:
In-house assembly and calibration of new weighing systems and products.
In-house trouble-shooting and repairs to weighing equipment such as platform scales, bench scales and precision balances.
Installation of new equipment such as weighbridges and data capture systems.
Service and maintenance, trouble-shooting, repair and calibration of a whole range of weighing products and systems.
Planning and carrying out planned maintenance and calibration checks.
Travelling to customers throughout the length and breadth of the country.
Active cooperation with other company employees to effectively deliver consistent quality.
Maintain accurate up-to-date records of all work undertaken and generate Service Reports and Calibration Certificates
Take responsibility for the Work Vehicle provided as well as Service Parts Inventory, Tools and Equipment.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Technical Director.

This is a full-time position, subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period.
The successful candidate will have a third level qualification in electronics/IT and/or engineering.

Full Drivers Licence, preferably with Trailer Licence;

Flexibility and willingness to travel (average of 1-8 hours daily);
Solid communication skills, ability to develop a trusting relationship with customers;
Relevant education and experience a distinct advantage.
