Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, the Circle K Category Manager (Non-Food) will be responsible for executing strategies set in EU (owned categories & concepts) and for setting and executing local (Irish BU) category strategies to achieve the overall business goals through the preferred Circle K/ACT approach. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the effective management and continued development of their category across the Irish Circle K Market.
•Knowledgeable (3 years + experience) working with category management tools and methods within retail/FMCG.
•Track Record of innovation and achieving “First Mover” status with successful outcomes whilst sourcing product and building relationships with nonfood suppliers.
•Existing contacts in this area would be a significant benefit.
•Experience from working with consumer insights, product/brand development
Experience in procurement and contract negotiations
•Experience in product research & development, supply chain, product regulations, quality control and HSE.
•Examples of success in delivering strategic growth plans.
•Positive, solution focused individual with experience of working in fast paced, energetic environments.

•Adapt and execute EU/IE category strategies and tactics; Focus on Entry/ Exit strategies in Non-Food in a controlled and commercially astute manner.
•Heavily weighted requirement to own the execution of local BU Non-Food category strategy and tactics based on a developing/evolving category.
•Design the Customer journey and own the performance while adding market intelligence and consumer insights
•Effective management of the 5 Ps: Product assortment, Price, Promotion, Placement, People where local category tactics are decided using the approved EU process and tools, first round sign off of promotional POS, second round is with supply chain specialist
•Facilitate: Planogram, Floorplan, Sourcing/Supply Chain, Training and Execution in all areas of strategies, tactics and projects for Convenience Categories with stakeholders
•Research, develop and pilot new ideas and innovations for local category growth in line with improving Customer Journey
•Adopt yearly EU Category/Marketing Plans and develop local category / marketing plans on a BU market level following the European process, structure and timing; Align and secure this category plan with all relevant stakeholders. Support, follow-through and assist with planning and implementation as well as on-going execution.
