The company offers a dedicated outsourced payroll service to a variety of companies, processing in excess of 5,000 payslips per month. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a Payroll Assistant for immediate start. This will initially be on a 3 day week basis. If business continues to expand, extension to full-time contract is possible.

Candidates should have at least 2 years experience in payroll processing ideally with experience of Sage Payroll (formerly Micropay Professional) software.
Experience of UK Payroll processing on Sage 50 UK Payroll is desirable.

A qualification in IPASS Certificate in Payroll Techniques is desirable.

The position involves both manual and automated processing of payroll for a variety of clients with varying pay frequencies.

Candidates should be familiar with holiday and public holiday calculations and proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Outlook.

They should have the ability to operate to tight deadlines to meet bank payment obligations and to work on their own initiative.
