Graduate or similar with a food science degree and 2 year work experience reporting to the technical manager, your role as quality assurance assistant will be to provide support and to ensure that quality assurance and technical compliance is adhered to

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review QA computer systems & associated manual records/documentation
Prepare for customer, BRC & DAFM audits
Maintain records & SOP's relating to quality system and BRC certification
Ensure CCP's relating to HACCP are maintained & monitored, experience with TACCP/VACCP an advantage
Monitor incoming raw materials, in process & finished product quality standards
Provide support for NPD (recipes, packaging, labels)
Conduct taste panels for incoming raw materials, finished product and NPD
Understand microbiological sampling requirements & specifications relating to food manufacture
Participation with internal & external audits
Support customer technical enquiries and deal with consumer complaints
Liase with suppliers
