RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT

An opportunity has arisen for full time RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT positions at Bandon Coop Retail & Garden Centres.

Responsibilities:
• Provide an excellent customer service experience to all Bandon Coop customers using initiative and communication skills.
• Maximise sales, while ensuring customer retention and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers in their selection of products and deal with technical customer queries
• Maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in their areas of responsibility.
• Co-ordinate the display and presentation of products.
• Monitor and maintain/merchandise displays.
• Participate as a team member in achieving the strategy of Bandon Co-Op Retail & Garden Centres through continuous improvement and Lean management.

Skills and Experience:
• Experience working in a customer facing role in retail in Agri, DIY or hardware.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
• Good IT / Computer skills.
• Drive and a willingness to be flexible.
