Purpose of the Role:

To support the GROWER House Section from planning and implementing of the day to day procedures to ensure a maximum health and performance status of the pigs on site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Day to Day Management Duties
• Daily duties of piglet management
• Feeding & grading duties
• Maintain flow within post-weaning process to capitalizes on a maximise growth & feed conversion performance.
• Administration of medication for treatment and prevention of disease
and post-treatment monitoring
Animal Production Performance
• Assist and co-ordinate with the day to day recording and performance
to identify avenues to improve health and wellbeing
Feed Trials
• Assist and coordinate new feeding plans and diets and gather the
relevant performance data and recommend improvements

Experience and Qualifications
• Experience in a previous farming role beneficial but not necessary
• From a farming background
• Interest in the Pig Industry
• Full Training will be made available
