We are looking for a relief cook to regularly cover Sundays and Bank Holidays. If possible to also provide cover for annual leave, training days etc.
You will be required to plan, prepare and cook mid-day dinner for approximately 8-10 people, do some baking such as fresh breads, scones etc
Planning will be done in conjunction with the Community and the Cook including considerations from the Health Care Co-ordinator and following on from this you will need to prepare the shopping list to facilitate this.
In conjunction with this, the monitoring of portions of meals provided to ensure limited waste and the economic use of all foods is imperative.
You will be required to wash-up after meals and re-set the tables, in a presentable way for the next meal. Appropriate levels of hygiene and health and safety standards are required in both the kitchen and the dining areas.
As these lists are not exhaustive a certain degree of flexibility will be required.
You will be required to have previous cooking experience. A sound working knowledge of HACCP is essential. Experience dealing with various dietary requirements is a key requirement.
You will be working closely with the Guardian. An open-minded approach and readiness to tackle any challenge, no matter how big or small, is important. Confidentiality Is key.
The successful candidate must have a valid work permit and Garda Vetting will be required.
