This is an unique opportunity for someone who is up for a challenge and prepared to take our hotel to the next level. It is a hands-on role and the chosen candidate will be a crucial figure within the team. With big expansion plans, we have lots of opportunities for growth and development.

Already in Hospitality? Great, but if not, we still want to hear from you. We’re looking for the key skills that you’ve picked up leading a team, we’re looking for energy, drive and vision.

Given that we are Ireland’s only community owned and managed Hotel, we feel we have that edge that differs us from other Hotels. There is great community spirit within Knockatallon and North Monaghan, an excellent place to work and live!

Responsibilities will include:

Recruiting, training and supervising staff to ensure excellent customer experience.

Ensure all team members are aware of what is expected from them

Responsible for the preparation (in conjunction with accounts personnel) and presentation of the Hotel’s annual operating budget to the Board.

Procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.

Promoting and marketing the business both internally and externally while maximising all tourism facilities.
Planning events, room bookings, maintenance work etc

Assist with staff training in all areas of the Hotel

Assisting with Food and Beverage service during busy periods

Managing other aspects of the Knockatallon Development Company CLG business
Other Duties as required

Knowledge Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate should:

Have previous management experience (not essential for experience to have been gained within the Hotel or Hospitality/Tourism Industry but would be an advantage).

Can manage and review budgets and operating profit and loss.

Have a friendly outgoing personality and is comfortable interacting with both customers and staff.

Be a seasoned and highly intelligent professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience.

Highly proficient in computer skills.

An interest in community and/or development would be an advantage

Available to work when required, including weekends is essential.
