We know that good communication and effective engagement with diverse stakeholders is key to philanthropic impact so we are now hiring a part-time Marketing & Communications Officer to develop and manage all aspects of OKC’s external communications and marketing activities (primarily executed online and through digital marketing); implement a revised PR strategy, (including the management of our rebrand to coincide with our 20th anniversary in March 2022); undertake a refresh of all OKC collateral (OKC website / brand materials / associated websites such as SupportTheArts.ie etc.), and work closely with our clients to connect their stories to the wider public through the creation of compelling copy to enable them to drive their philanthropic impact.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in communications and digital marketing, and a keen interest in the not-for-profit sector, philanthropy and enabling organisations to share their impact effectively. The desired candidate must be a creative thinker, with exceptional writing skills.
This is an exciting juncture for OKC, and a great time to join our small but mighty team! Reporting to the Head of Development & Operations, the Marketing & Communications Officer will develop and design strategies that build our communication channels and support our clients to do the same. The right candidate must be able to think strategically, be creative, and deliver to deadlines.

Blended approach of Remote/Office based work. Expectation that successful candidate will work at least one day per week at the office.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Communications – Strategy
Implementation of draft PR strategy
Creative Direction and Management of OKC’s rebrand to coincide with our 20th anniversary, March 2022
Development of digital marketing strategy, growing awareness in the market for the purpose of promotingphilanthropy, brand awareness and business development opportunities
Develop and design strategies that improve client communications
Communications – Digital & Social Media
Designing and implementing weekly and monthly social media plans responsive to not-for-profit sector and current affairs, pertinent to OKC’s business
Creating social media campaigns to support client work
Review and manage OKC website - experience on backend website management essential
Creating, maintaining and copywriting for web pages, monthly Ezines & newsletters and preparation of media content related to OKC
Support with digital audits for clients to improve their digital strategies
Supporting OKC’s clients to improve and amplify their messaging through providing strategic consultation and copy support
Support OKC team on the development of pitch materials, toolkits, decks, and other materials for clients
Connect the stories of our arts & cultural clients through management of Support the Arts website
Development of visually engaging documents for OKC and clients – experience of working photoshop / Canva or other design software highly desirable
Support Head of Development & Operations with client communications
Supporting OKC on special events and initiatives when required
Attendance at conferences and events, representing OKC at exhibition stands and liaising with suppliers and organisers as required.
Client Management – database updates and management in terms of work content and client/prospect details
Excellent writing skills with the ability to present material in a clear, concise and comprehensive manner

A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience working in marketing, communications and/or digital media
Experience of using, updating, and developing social media content and platforms (Website, Twitter, LinkedIn) in a professional capacity
Image editing skills for the creation of social media content (e.g. Canva)
Experience in working on and creating communications campaigns
Excellent writing and communications skills
A proven ability to develop and maintain networks effectively
Experience / interest in the NFP/Fundraising sector
Experience / interest in Arts & Culture sector
