Job Description:

The role is a permanent full-time contract, full training, and on-going support, will be provided by our existing experienced quotations officer and sales team.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience, skills and attributes:

Must have previous experience in a similar office based role.
Background in Constructions, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Engineering would be an advantage
Good understanding of Microsoft office [Word,Excel]
Ability to work on own initiative in a busy environment
Be able to work under tight deadline & schedules
Strong attention to detail
Good communicator, with strong written and oral communication skills
Professional attitude

Main duties/responsibilities include:
Pricing Bill of Quantities, marking up and quantifying specification drawings. Preparing and contributing to tender documents
Pricing for materials pertaining to contracts, installation contracts and allied road safety works and civils.
Creating and monitoring existing quotations
Manage the preparation of timely detailed cost estimates in support of tender bids
Engage with the supply chain during the tender process to secure accurate pricing for packages of works
Ensure effective handover of tender estimates to project teams [production, purchasing, installations, subcontractors] when contract has been awarded.
Compile monthly reports on active tenders, converted sales, project status.
Maintain a strategic oversight of macro conditions in developing bid winning strategies.
Processing successful quotations to production orders
Liaising with clients regarding lead times for supply of materials
Liaising with main contractors, consulting engineers and foremen to ensure requirements and deadlines are met.
Comparing tender and construction documentation and keeping track of any variations
Liaising with sales team, providing quotations to customers
Key customer account management

Essential Skills:
2 years + experience in a similar role
Ability to prioritise work requirements
IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience
Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others
Autocad – an advantage
