As a Transport Compliance Controller you will report into the Transport Director on a daily basis and will be held responsible for the overall compliance, servicing and maintenance of a busy fleet of vehicles and Lifting Equipment. The following responsibilities:

Maintenance of associated control systems.
Responsible for day to day fleet compliance elements across all operating centres, this includes but not limited to
Driver daily checks & Tachograph analysis
Plan and record all vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules
To maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inspections, defects and repairs carried out to the fleet and maintain all relevant legal documentation.
Updating all transportation documentation and risk assessments
Working with internal and external departments to communicate relevant information
Book relevant tests for trucks when required.
Planning and arranging equipment inspections.
Guaranteeing everything is maintained to a satisfactory standard required to support the smooth operation of our business.
Deal with fines, penalties, tolls and infringements.
Issue all vehicles fuel cards and update on Fleet System; renewals and requests to be sent out in a timely manner.
Assist in any projects as directed by the Fleet management team.
Deal with invoices/purchase order etc when required.
To carry out other admin/compliance related tasks as required
Liaise with Fleet Managers, Operations, Drivers
Liaise with Fleet Maintainers and Suppliers, Customers, Contract Hauliers and Accident Management Companies.
Fleet maintenance planning and administration
Liaising with third parties relating to Fleet, Road Traffic Accidents, integrating Vehicle CCTV systems etc.
Administration and record keeping of training requirements
To assist and development and the delivery of training courses
Provide support and training to sites with regards to continuous improvement.
Full understanding of Transport and legal requirements.


Experience of working with, maintaining and analysing data using Excel
Knowledge of fleet administration and compliance
High attention to detail
Ability to problem solve and find solutions
Strong Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
Confidence to manage and prioritise own workloads
Ability to identify process improvements
Highly motivated with ability to work on own initiative
Administration related experience in a similar environment.
Compliance experience required
Experience of working within logistics environment
Strong administration skills
Strong level of computer literacy, competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
Transport compliance background-Essential
Previous Transport office environment experience
Proven record of Relationship Management
Proven record of process/continuous improvement
Strong communication skills
Strong IT skills

To be considered for the role of Transport Compliance Manager, you will need the following experience:

· Previous Transport Experience

· Good knowledge of Tacho Law/WTD
