Fergal Allens Celbridge is looking for a Cover Driver.

This position is to cover our current drivers whilst on leave, holidays etc and help out in busy times when more drivers are needed

We will provide a van, so Full-License is essential.

Our drivers provide the following;
• Collecting stock or goods from a collection point and ensuring that all customer orders are complete with instruction from our counter staff
• Packing the goods in the delivery vehicle in an organised manner that matches the order in which the deliveries will be made
• Planning the shortest and best routes to clients by taking factors like roadblocks and traffic into consideration
• Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time
• Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues
• Delivering products that are in good condition to clients
• Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
• Unloading packages at the destination and getting clients to sign the necessary paperwork
• Updating route, mileage and delivery logs
