Operating forklifts safely in a busy industrial environment
Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods on pallets into the yard
Moving goods from storage areas to load for transport
Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
Keeping up to date on Health & Safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
Adhere to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations
Perform the job in accordance with the companys policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policy.
Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time.
This role is for day and night shifts to include weekend working.
Qualifications / Experience:
Previous experience as a forklift operator or a similar role.
Successful candidates must hold a license to operate an Industrial Counterbalance Forklift.
Good knowledge of industrial equipment.
Strong practical skills, showing dexterity, speed and accuracy
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
Excellent attender & timekeeper
Good team player with confident communication skills
Sound understanding of Health & Safety matters.
Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
