Employment Guidance Officer

Galway City Local Employment Service Network

The Local Employment Service provides a range of services to support unemployed people (back) into employment or further education and training. We are now looking for additional Employment Guidance Officers to strengthen our team.
The ideal candidates will:
•    Provide clients with a confidential, individual career path planning, guidance and counselling service on a caseload basis
•    Maintain the caseload management system as provided by the Department of Social Protection
•    Work as an integrated member of the LES team and the wider Galway City Partnership team
•    As an essential prerequisite you will demonstrate experience and/or a qualification in the area of  adult guidance or in supporting adult development  
This is a full time position of 35hours per week and will be based in Galway
Initial contract period is up to 31st December 2021, but may be renewed

Salary : 15-Point Scale €28,438 (€ 34,339 incl Pension &PRSI) - €47,717 (€57,618 incl Pension & PRSI)  per annum -  new entrants start at point 1 of the scale
