Gowan Group Ltd. is seeking to appoint a new Sales and Fleet Manager for Gowan Distributors Ltd., as they are due to be appointed as importers and distributors of Citroen cars and Light Commercial Vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving Citroen’s overall vehicle wholesale, registration and market share objectives, driving Dealer Development, recruitment, standards and selection criteria for both existing and for new dealer appointments, along with developing growth strategies for all sales channels. You will also be responsible for implementing our fleet sales plan and ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded while surpassing customer service expectations.
Manage and co-ordinate the Area Sales Managers with a view to achieving the company’s vehicle sales, registrations and profitability objectives.
Develop strategies to successfully and profitably achieve KPI’s.
Developing excellent relationships with the Dealer Network to grow throughput in each Dealer’s area of responsibility
Achieving Citroen’s overall vehicle wholesale, registration and market share objectives.
Motivation and management of the Vehicle Sales Team
Driving Dealer Development, recruitment, standards and selection criteria for existing and new dealer appointments.
Ensuring full implementation of CSI and CRM policy
Dealer sales targets, forecasting, planning and budgeting
Developing growth strategies for all sales channels
Deliver Sales Training Programme for Dealer Principals and Sales personnel
Roll out new corporate signage
Regular Dealer visits and relationship building
Communication and implementation of company policies and objectives
Efficient and profitable disposal of all ex-company demonstrators and aged stocks through our dealer network.
Monitor and manage new vehicle aged stock profile.
Develop relationships with major Buyers, fleet and hire drive companies
Oversee all trade and open events
Identify and develop new business opportunities through all mediums but especially through regular personal visits to maintain a very close relationship with all Fleet/Lease and Hire Drive Companies
Manage our Data base of existing fleet customers.
Respond to all Pan-European and Semi-state tenders.
Represent Citroen at Manufacturer Fleet conferences.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
Action orientated with an ability to deliver results consistently.
Confident decision maker, able to work on own initiative and take full ownership of client portfolio.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, to work effectively in fast paced, complex and dynamic work environment.
Be commercially minded, with a high attention to detail.
Production planning, knowledge of new technologies and trends a distinct advantage
Be proficient with Microsoft Office
Relevant Motor Industry experience
Full driver’s license essential
