Finishing Foreman

Location: Cork

Job Role:

The finishing foreman will organise and coordinate works on site, manage safety administration, maintain records and liaise with management.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Liaising with:

• Site Manager: Subcontractors programmes and coordination 
• Senior Engineer: Engineering details and Subcontractors coordination 
• Purchasing Manager: Procurement of bulk items 
• Quality Manager: Maintaining site records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 requirements
• H&S Officer: promoting the implementation of the Safety Management System

- Implementation of programmes together with the issue of programme detail to subcontractors

- Attending site meetings as required

- Maintaining the Site Diary - recording manpower levels for each subcontractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities

- Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site

- Coordinating and managing of subcontractors

- Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards

- Dealing with all Health and Safety issues on site

- Providing clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner

Requirements:

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role or minimum experience, on large commercial, residential projects involving new build, Fit-Out and Refurbishment projects.
• Trade and/or technically qualified
• Proven track record of delivering construction projects to the end user to the highest quality with emphasis on safe and efficient construction at all times.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
