Our client is now recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join their operations based in Monaghan Ireland. The client specialises in the domestic renewable energy heating market across Ireland and UK, providing modular renewable home heating systems for newly built apartments and refurbishments.
The Refrigeration engineer will be responsible for consultancy, improvements or preserving new and existing projects and will also be accountable for overseeing and monitoring mechanical aspects of all projects efficiency and develop designs for, oversee fabrication of, and troubleshoot problems with complex refrigeration systems for industrial use, including but not limited to; insulated vehicles, assisting overall engineering with an interest in temperature control, with knowledge of thermodynamics, an interest in hands-on engineering work and a respect for safety procedures.
To take a proactive approach to the installation and maintenance (Planned Preventative Maintenance) of products on customer premises throughout the Ireland ensuring the highest standards are maintained
Ensure preventative maintenance is on schedule at all time in conjunction with the service manager.
To undertake refrigeration systems repairs in accordance with call allocation from service manager.
Responds to emergency call outs during or after hours as needed (resolve immediate refrigeration break downs).
The interpretation of specifications and drawings to produce work plans and parts lists.
Prepare documentation and reports (e.g. repair status, safety logs, etc.) for the purpose of conveying information and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.
Consistently meet or exceed the KPI levels set out in the contract within your area
Assisting your supervisor in ensuring that you deliver the specified SLAs and KPIs and achieve customer satisfaction.
Maintain and adhere to Health & Safety requirements at all times by taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations on both Company and customer sites.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by up skilling in refrigeration products, attending internal and external workshops;
Determine new opportunities by informing the sales team of business needs identified while onsite with customers.
Basic troubleshooting, maintenance, repair or replacement of products in situ on client premises
Deliver high quality Service and repair work ensuring minimum return visits.
Effective documentation of verbal and written instructions from customers of any extra work identified and accurate costing of same in advance of completion of work
Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
Identify and raise any issues/concerns of customers with senior management in a timely manner
Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
Maintaining daily communications with customers and service administrator to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
· BSc in Refrigeration engineering or Engineering related subject preferable
· Post qualification construction experience with a main contractor
· Strong track record on commercial build projects
· Computer-literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
· Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
· Able to co operate with other employees with due skill, diligence and understanding
· Strong analytical and logical skills
· Able to work accurately with figures
· Full driving licence
· Willing to travel
· A positive attitude towards all projects and company endeavours
· A working knowledge of PowerPoint.
· A member of the RSES or Engineers Ireland
Salary is negotiable depending on the applicant’s experience. We would also consider payment on a project completed basis, following an in-house training term.
We offer full training in the areas that are unique to our company to enable the engineer to take any project from the plan stages to final quote.
