Building Staff Solutions
Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are seeking a Civils Engineer to work in the Midlands Area on behalf of our client a leading Civils Contractor based in Laois.
What you are required to do:
Set out the works and ensuring the Site Foremen and Operatives clearly understand the information provided.
Disseminate information from drawings, specifications, etc. to foremen, operatives, subcontractors so all staff clearly understand what is required.
Test materials as needed/directed in accordance with the relevant specifications.
Ensure all daily activities, relevant information and occurrences are recorded in site diaries.
Record and report on work progress including that of subcontractors.
Conduct your work in a safe manner – correct and report those who do not develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel.
Monitor and check setting out instruments and testing equipment.
Maximize profit through your day-to-day actions: good self-management, accuracy in own work, elimination of re-work.
Follow directions and attend meetings as required.
What you need to have
Hold a degree in Civil Engineering
3-5 years Civils Construction experience
Proficient with EDM equipment
H&S conscious and familiar with relevant H&S legislation
Enthusiasm, be Confident and Motivated
Good communication skills
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
