Advanced Environmental Solutions (Ireland) Limited is a subsidiary of Bord na Móna plc. Advanced Environmental Solutions (Ireland) Limited is one of Ireland’s leading Waste Management Companies, with a particular focus on collection, segregation and recovery services.

We provide services to domestic and commercial customers throughout the country, operating through a network of waste transfer centres focused on specific local markets.

Our Resource Recovery Business Unit currently wish to recruit a Transport Administrator for our AES Lusk site on a permanent contract. The role will report to the Transport Manager.

The Role:

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following;

Planning and scheduling of work for a fleet of skip, RORO, RCV, and source segregated collection trucks. Dealing with all queries arising from drivers/ customers/customer service arising from the execution of daily scheduled work including works carried out outside of normal working hours.

Complete and confirm all transactions tipped at third party sites. Follow up on any queries arising from same. Clear down all weekly and monthly unconfirmed reports

Complete daily debrief with drivers and operatives. Ensuring all jobs and routes and completed accurately on to Elemos

Provide cover for the transport supervisor in his/her absence

Ensuring that all transport related invoices are valid and accurate, and in compliance with the AES purchase order procedure.

Log and record all transport related non-conformances/accidents/incidents/near misses, in accordance with the company’s H&S and insurance policies

Comply with all company policies and initiatives to ensure safe operation and efficient operation of all plant and equipment (i.e. energy efficiency), as well as all other security measures, etc.

All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises

Show courtesy to all customers and members of the public as well as work colleagues. Report any difficulties encountered with others to the line manager.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes:

1-2 years’ experience in waste management or a busy transport environment

Have a high degree of commitment and must be flexible to work across different work sections within the company.

Team player with ability to work on their own initiative

Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.

A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills
