Post: Community Employment Supervisor Hours: 39 hours per week Salary: DEASP Community Employment Supervisor rates point 1 Reporting to: St Munchins Community Centre CEO Linda Ledger Job Purpose: To ensure effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme and report to the Sponsoring Committee on its implementation.A core aspect of the role is to support and coach CE participants towards gaining the skills and competencies in preparation for employment.You will need to work with the Community Employment Supervisor already in place to accommodate the needs of a working staff of 73 participants. Qualifications: Candidates must have attained a Major 3rd Level qualification (QQI Level 6 or higher) in Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources, Project Management or related disciplines and have 3 years experience in supervisory role. Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Manage and supervise the operation of the DEASP Community Employment Scheme alongside the Supervisor that’s already in place. 2. Administration of the DEASP accounts and budgets. 3. Ensure that financial returns i.e. wages claims, material claims and participants development claims meet the standard as laid down by the Department 4. Ensure implementation of systems controlling the operation of all finances e.g. cheque payments, petty cash system, debtors, creditors and participant’s payroll, bank account and PRSI returns as directed by the Sponsoring Organisation. 5. Report directly to St Munchins Community Centre CEO, prepare reports and attend Board meetings. 6. Liaise with the local DEASP office as required 7. Plan and co-ordinate the approved work schedules and ensure contracts of employment are in place for all participants 8. Supervision of CE Participants 9. Deal with all disciplinary matters in relation to participants in accordance with DEASP and St Munchins Community Centre’s disciplinary procedures 10. Development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for all the participants 11. Sourcing QQI and other accredited courses for the participants 12. Work closely with the sponsor group 13. Liaise with community/business partners to source job opportunities for the participants 14. To perform such other reasonable duties requested by the CEO and/or Board of Directors. 15. To record and keep accurate, up to date project records, including participants attendance sheets, ILPs, training records and incident and accident reports 16. To attend identified and appropriate professional training 17. To work effectively on one’s own initiative as well as part of a team in accordance with the projects organisational structures, ethos and procedures 18. Ensure that financial returns i.e. wages claims, material claims and participants development claims meet the standard as laid down by the Department Person specific/skills and abilities:
