Startup: Syze Level: PhD Duration: Specific Purpose Contract – (12 months) Hours: Full-Time Start Date: Immediate Who are we? We're an early-stage startup based out of Dublin, Ireland. We are building a future where consumers can confidently shop online with greater ease and where brands can sell more efficiently. To do so we are building a system to measure people from photos and offer sizing recommendations when shopping for clothes online. In short, we ensure only the right sized clothes are bought.Why this role? • Train on a custom state of the art dataset: We've carefully built a state-of-the-art dataset. Train your models on it and see them put into action with the support of the team. •Create new experiences: Syze is going to change how people shop and ultimately wear their clothes. You'll be joining pre-launch, will form a core part of our team and shape our growth. •Startup learning: Improve your skills and learn at a startup rate as we build and launch within a year.What will you do as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at Syze? • You will be responsible for the research, implementation and training of new machine learning models for human body pose detection and measurement. • Work closely with the founding team and customers to build beautiful and meaningful features. • Turn novel research into an impactful product with broad usage.What skills should you have? • You have a strong record of international peer-reviewed publication and presentation in top-tier conferences (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, PAMI, IJCV, ICIP, TIP, etc). • You're an excellent programmer in C/C++, Python, TensorFlow and Keras. • You have experience training and deploying machine learning models, with a strong focus on computer vision. • You're able to undertake independent research. • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. • You have a desire to learn about new products, technologies and keep abreast of new products and technical and research developments. • You want to join a fast-paced startup.Benefits • Competitive salary and immediate start date. • Employer pension contributions. • Equity. • Computer and peripherals of your choice. • Subsidised gym membership. • Casual dress.Who do we work with?
