Job Description:

TU Dublin is now seeking a University (PPP) Contracts Manager.In the coming months TU Dublin will be accepting two major academic buildings on the TU Dublin Grangegorman Campus developed under a public private partnership agreement (PPP) and extending to 53,000 sq. metres of academic space for staff and students.As part of the PPP agreement, the buildings will be maintained and operated for a period of twenty-five years by the PPPCo and the Authority will pay a unitary charge. Service delivery will be largely driven by the PPP Contract and effective management of this contract is central to success of performance and delivery over the coming 25 years. The successful candidate will be required to take a leadership role and responsibility on a day-to-day basis for management and implementation of the PPP Contract agreement. The Contract Manager will be required to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in particular, users – staff & students, TU Dublin Estates, TU Dublin Finance, TU Dublin Student Services, TU Dublin Students Union, TU Dublin Campus Planning, TU Dublin Migration Office, TU Dublin Secretary’s Office, Office of Public Affairs and externally with the NDFA, Department of Education & Skills and the PPP Co. and others as required. In addition, plans are currently underway to develop further facilities under a PPP arrangement on the TU Dublin campuses at Tallaght and Blanchardstown. These are still at the planning stage. The PPP Contract Manager will have responsibility for these two contracts in due course.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the appropriate mix of knowledge, experience, skills, talent and abilities as outlined below: Knowledge • A first or second class honours degree in a construction related discipline such as engineering, building services, facilities management, architecture, or in project management, systems management; organisational design, business management or equivalent from a recognised awarding institution (essential) • A recognised postgraduate qualification at Masters level in one of the areas listed above or related discipline from a recognised awarding institution (desirable) Experience • Have two years’ experience of in Project Management (essential) • Knowledge of BIM (essential) • Experience of operating within higher education sector (desirable) Skills, talents & abilities • Proven skills in Project Management, Facilities Management and Contract Management skills (essential) • Excellent communication skills • Reporting skills (desirable) • IT skills including desktop applications (essential)
