Sheehy Motor Group has a very exciting career opportunity for an Experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for proactively maximising local business and fleet incremental sales volumes and increasing profits through Business Development. This will be achieved by proactively managing and developing sustainable business relationships with local SME businesses and delivering on both sales and activity objectives and ensuring exceptional levels of customer service.
The ideal candidate must be customer focused with exceptional communication, presentation and organisational skills and be able to clearly demonstrate the ability to drive sales together with a strong commercial awareness.
Attain the agreed level of Sales, Performance and Customer Activity objectives
Implement development activities in the local area, expand customer interaction, engage in proactive marketing strategies to maximise the attraction and retention of customers
Build rapport with customers to understand their specific requirements and to increase penetration of vehicle, finance, parts and service business.
Design and deliver business presentations and proposals to customers on our product offering and related services. Follow up and close deals
Ensure proper follow up of all potential leads and enquiries in a timely manner
Become familiar with internal systems and processes and external systems as required
Actively develop product knowledge on the full range of vehicles on offer by the Sheehy Motor Group and comparable product ranges of our direct competitors.
Participate in performance reviews meetings and business improvement and development
Participate in the SME Fleet Sales Training programme, coaching, workshops and forums and any other training/meetings as required
Aligned to Sheehy Motor Group brand values and demonstrate these in your behaviours and approach to people and tasks.
Display honesty and integrity at all times
Ensure compliance with ISO and GDPR requirements together with manufacturer & dealership standards
Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3-5 years of successful B2B or Fleet experience
High level of commercial awareness
Knowledge of the Irish Motor Industry would be advantageous
Must demonstrate experience of relationship management within the SME sector
Strong IT and presentation skills
Full clean driver’s license and good driving record
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build strong alliances both internally and externally
Consistent in achieving key performance criteria
Highly professional in attitude and appearance
