Ideal Qualifications:

A degree qualified engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services preferably or other similar technical qualification); Quantity Surveyor with site management experience will be considered.

Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Contract Administration desirable but not essential

Experience:

currently working as a project manager/contracts manager with a medium to large contracting organisation
preferably greater than 6 years experience industry experience (building, civil engineering, or lift);
ideally to have worked on 2 x large projects >€5M and to have led at least 2 projects or elements of projects >€1M;
ability to safely deliver projects on time, to budget and to a high quality standard;
mixture of both site and office experience essential;
experience managing including programming and allocating work both to direct and subcontractor staff;
knows how to interpret drawings – CAD experience a bonus;
commercial experience – understands contract administration – familiarity with key contractual clauses including payment clauses, variation clauses, programming and delay clauses etc.;
Strong communication and negotiation skills a prerequisite;
Health and Safety - CIF IOSH Managing Safely in Construction advantageous;
Lean 6 Sigma qualification in continuous improvement methods in operational excellence would be advantageous;
Portfolio/program management – familiar with project management programming tools e.g. Microsoft Project & Excel, Familiarity with order book management dashboard systems;
Computer literate – Microsoft Suite; Sharepoint; Excel; MS Project; Power point;
Financial Management – Pricing works, preparing variations, budgeting, cost control and monitoring,
Negotiating Subcontracts, Agreeing final accounts.
Self-starter possessing both assertive and collaborative behaviors.
International experience with exposure to a diverse range of cultures a benefit
ability to provide coaching support to Team of Supervisors
experience supervising lift shaft construction/installation/commissioning a bonus;
