BACKGROUND: Stoelting Co. ( a Chicago based company, produces a range of very specialized hardware and software used by life science researchers in academia and industry. Stoelting has an office in Europe to service their European customers which is run in cooperation with Red Box Direct Limited at our Dublin facility in Terenure. Red Box Direct manages the European businesses for a number of manufacturers of high-tech life science instrumentation.

CORE ACTIVITIES: Based in our offices in Terenure, Dublin, you will provide technical sales and support for our customers across Europe. You will also help with product marketing and travel internationally to meet customers in order to demonstrate and provide support for the Stoelting product range. You will have to exhibit our products at academic meetings and so will need to quickly develop a technical understanding of our product range. You will also be expected to carry out numerous duties to help support the sales goals and logistical requirements of the business unit.

GOAL: To grow sales of the product-line, provide scientific support to customers and support the day to day running of the business.

REQUIRED SKILLS: You will have a general interest in science and technology, be presentable, hard-working, self-motivated and have a sociable nature. You will have a third level qualification in a science/life science discipline, biomedical engineering, applied physics, engineering or other related areas. Sales experience is not essential, as full training will be given.

SALARY: Salary is in the region of EUR 30,000 to EUR 40,000, negotiable based on experience and qualifications, with an additional bonus scheme based on set annual company goals.
