Job Purpose

The post holder has responsibility for the overall transportation of students to and from training at National Learning Network Bantry Monday to Friday. Driving a 16 seater Mercedes Sprinter, the route begins in Bandon at 8am and proceeds along the main N71 collecting in Enniskeane, Ballineen, Dunmanway, Drimoleague and Bantry before reaching the training centre at Donemark Bantry. The return journey is done each evening.

Minimum Education & Skills required

Category Irish D1 licence
Up to date valid driver qualification card, category D1 (CPC card)
A minimum of 2 years relevant driving experience
Excellent Interpersonal skills and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and ability to work on their own.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations in Bandon, Enniskeane, Ballineen, Dunmanway, Drimoleague, Bantry and bringing them to training at National Learning Network, Bantry. Follow a planned route according to a time schedule.
To transport students during training related activities.
Conduct daily checks of 16-seater Mercedes Sprinter (oil, water, hazards, doors, lights, equipment) and fill in necessary paperwork to confirm same.
Ensure a high level of safe working practices along with health and safety practices.
