Process Engineer
Develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality and cost goals of the organization.
Qualify existing processes to established cGMP guidelines on new equipment including necessary protocols and summary reports to support increased capacity and expected growth
Responsibility under the direction of the Engineering Manager to identify, develop, improve, qualify and sustain manufacturing processes for current products. Identifying and optimizing material and process flows
Process Engineer has the responsibility to provide frontline engineering support to production activities. Expected to identify and implement methods to reduce cost, reduce scrap, increase capacity, increase safety and increase production efficiency.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, supply chain, and outside suppliers. Maintains excellent rapport with internal/external customers
Expected to identify and implement methods to reduce cost, reduce scrap, increase capacity, increase safety and increase production efficiency
Conducting/participating in failure investigations, root cause analyses, implementing corrective actions and preventive actions
Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials
Identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve
Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes
The Process Engineer has responsibility for conducting/participating in Design of Experiments (DOE)
Provide hands-on support for product and process development
Provide hands-on support for maintaining and fixing process equipment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, process, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical or chemical)
3+ years’ experience
Flexibility to wear many hats as a manufacturing area grows from a start up to a highly optimized well-oiled machine
Ability to communicate and write effectively
Excellent organizational skills
Strong Analytical skills
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of engineering experience
2+ years of maintenance experience
