Job Overview

The Warehouse & Deliveries Manager is responsible for providing leadership to our warehouse and delivery teams. They ensure that deliveries are scheduled to plan. They will also manage stock integrity within our warehouses.
Responsibilities and Duties

Warehouse Management:

Direct the daily and weekly activities of all warehouse staff
Management of all goods in/ goods out
Ensure the welfare of all internal vehicles
Ensure safety standards within the warehouse are maintained
Conducts regular safety risk assessments
Oversees the loading and unloading of all vehicles
Proactively resolves all warehouse related issues
Liaise with relevant administration areas within Head Office
Liaise with HR Manager regarding the required operational staffing levels and also for all ER issues
Preparation of warehouse staff roster.
Deliveries scheduling:

Direct the daily and weekly activities of all delivery teams.
Monitors all fleet vehicles and highlights discrepancies with routes, volume, vehicle and driver availability
Ensure that all of the delivery team are compliant with safe driving regulations
Management of all route planning records.
Preparation of delivery team staff roster
Ensure customer payments are complete prior to despatch of the ordered product.
Reconciliation of delivery dockets
Liaise daily with other key managers within the business
Point of contact for all delivery related queries from Store managers, Customer Service team and customers
Manage Fleetmatics tracker system as well as organizing new tracker units or moving units from older vehicles to new vehicles.
Stock Control Administration:

Oversee all daily activities associated with stock control to maintain correct quantities of stock on hand and also on our ERP system.
Manager metrics reporting e.g. stock counts accuracy and root cause analysis of any inaccuracy issues.
Liaise with the Stock Control Administrator regarding the container schedule to planning in terms of urgency, workload and manpower
Oversee the coordination of necessary paperwork for all stock movements and transactions within the warehouse.
Provide support and involvement in process change and improvement and in projects relating to product inventory
Oversee periodic physical inventories
Review of Vehicle reports
Oversee customer collection process
Key competencies required:

5 years of experience managing warehouse operations
An in-depth understanding of the Warehouse / Logistics industry is required
Excellent people management skills
SAP experience is preferred
Experience with bar-coding and voice picking systems is preferred
Experience of WMS systems
Good communication and organizational skills
