M.D Burns & Co Ltd are currently looking to recruit an experienced driver to join our team in Ashbourne, Co Meath

Job summary / Role and Responsibilities

Delivery of goods to multiple customer locations across the route network' our stores.
Adhere to pre agreed cut off times.
Pick up of returns good from customers.
Well organized and have a professional attitude towards customer service.
Responsible for ensuring company lorry vehicle is safe and meets all regulatory standards.
Complete daily checks and reporting any defects to your line manager.
Work as part of the general warehouse team when not driving.
Other ad-hoc duties as requested by warehouse manager' management.
Comply with Company policy and procedure in wearing PPE and following required health and Safety protocols.
Comply with required policy and procedure in reporting sickness, requesting annual leave and any other relevant process.
Participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.

Essential Criteria

Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Experience of working as a delivery driver for a minimum of 1 year
A team player-capable of working alone or as part of a team.
Able to use own initiative.
Have a full clean driving licence that includes LGV for lorries, if you work with these vehicles
You must have a full clean B licence at the very least and must be over 25 years of age
Have a good level of fitness
Valid Manual Handling Certificate
Experience in handling furniture is required but full training will be given to the right candidate
Must be flexible with daily hours and work weekends

Basic Day-to-day tasks

Your day-to-day duties could include:

Checking with customers which items are to be moved
Taking apart larger items of deliveries for packing and removal
Packing items, loading them into company vehicles and securing them safely
Driving to a new location and unloading items

Salary is negotiable depending on experience
