TAILOR & SEAMSTRESS -
SEWING MACHINIST REQUIRED

Curtain making experience preferred for bespoke curtain workroom
• Experience making hand sewn and machined curtains, lined and interlined in a range
of heading styles
• Experience making hand finished roman blinds to an exceptional standard
• Experience making scatter cushions and box cushions
• Use of industrial workroom equipment including a fl at bed sewing machine, walking
foot machine, blind hemmer and overlocker
• Accurate hand sewing at high speed whilst maintaining quality is essential

The right candidate will:
• Have a flair for soft furnishings and interior design with a keen eye for detail &
accuracy in all work
• Be able to measure, cut & sew accurately & check standard of all finished work
• Have good communication skills & can work well as a team
• Be able to use own initiative
• Be able to work fast & under pressure to meet production demands
• Flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads
• Be able to keep the workroom tidy at all times & adhere to health & safety regulations
