This role of HR Assistant is to support our HR department, this is an interesting and varied role where you will report directly to the Head of People. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive individual who has strong HR administration experience and can provide a range of day to day administrative support, as well as ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests to colleagues in line with legislation as well as deliver on the vision beliefs and attitudes of Go-Ahead Ireland.
Key Responsibilities and tasks
Update and manage the T&A system including running and checking reports.
HR system maintenance.
Update and process all starters and leavers
Accurately process HR forms/documents
Complete written correspondence
Produce offer letters and contracts of employment
Advising line managers on GAI Processes and policies keeping in line with legislation requirements
Maintain and organise up to date personnel records,
Collate information required for HR metrics e.g. turnover/sickness
Resolve colleague queries when possible
Update HR noticeboards with all relevant information,
Complete proof of right to work checks
Revise company policies where required.
Support managers with minute taking in the investigation/disciplinary and grievance process
Liaise with our external OH team to book medical appointments and referrals
Support and participate in people projects
Support the GDPR Officer with requests.
Work alongside Recruitment administrator advertising vacancies
Support recruiting manager with interviews
Manage HR Mailbox
General HR administration activities
Knowledge and Skills
2 years proven HR administration experience in a fast-paced environment
Accredited HR qualification
Understanding of employment law, HR procedures and policies
Able to adhere to and always maintain confidentiality
High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels within the organisation and with external 3rd parties.
Able to organise, manage, prioritise and use own initiative
Ability to work to deadlines
Experience in writing procedures
Experience of Microsoft Packages
Excellent organisational and administrational skills.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Experience in Transport Industry
