Due to continued expansion, Energlaze are now seeking an experienced Operations manager to join their team.

Wexford Based.

The successful candidate will be responsible for organising, leading, and developing the operations on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will be an excellent problem solver with a complete understanding of costs, KPI’s and continuous improvement techniques as well as excellent leadership skills.

As a key member of the senior management team, you will need to have an inclusive management style, whilst being able to influence across the greater business.

Manage and act as single point of contact for all aspects of our bespoke operation.
Plan, organise and manage the process from product ordering to final installation.
Be responsible for customers’ product and company satisfaction
Minimise remakes of material and wasted labour by introducing efficient processes and accountability.
Work closely with Sales Manager and others to ensure customers’ expectations are met or exceeded.
Manage People 

Manage Operations Team of 20-30 people with the assistance of other department heads.
Maximise output of each member of the Operations Team
Minimise time-wasting by introducing efficient processes
Manage all HR issues within operations team including annual leave, sickness, and grievances.
Ensure working standards are respected right across the entire company. (safety, work instructions, quality, and respect of the products).
Ensure the highest level of safety in all operations is carried out and ensure compliance with regard to PPE for all employees.
Hold and lead daily, weekly & monthly operations meetings and organise delegation.
Contribute to and partake in annual appraisals
Introduce areas of responsibility for each member of the Operations Team and monitor progress.
Ensure that new employees are trained
Plan and organise ongoing staff training 
Working with Management 

This position will come with KPIs, goals and targets and it will be your responsibility to analyse them and report on them to management on a regular basis
Contribute to successful new and ongoing projects


Third level qualification desired but not a requirement as previous experience and a good track record are a pre-requisite.

 Professional Experience

Experience in construction/engineering/manufacturing or service industry is essential.
At least 5 years proven experience in a senior management role is essential.

Good Interpersonal skills with particular attention paid to influencing and motivational skills 
Excellent IT skills a strict requirement – ability to learn IT package and move with new technologies introduced
Very proficient and comfortable using MS Excel
Fast learner who retains information a strict requirement
Flexible attitude to job function and working hours
Reliable person who strives to achieve excellence
Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
Confident communication skills – written & verbal
Must be able to work in a team environment
Outstanding attention to detail a must
Strong problem-solving skills
A high degree of efficiency and accuracy while working under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality
Ability to enjoy and drive continuous improvement
Efficient in project management and managing several projects at any given time
Ability to enable and drive change is a must
Ability to create a culture of can-do attitude.
