Grass Technology based in Borris Co. Carlow, is a market-leading Irish farm machinery manufacturer, specialising in zero grazers, slurry tankers, dribble bars and more. Grass Technology distributes globally, with a large presence across Europe.
Due to continued success we are seeking a permanent full-time Marketing Executive to grow the brand and advertise via digital and conventional media. The successful candidate will support the sales team to represent, distribute and sell Grass Technology machines across Ireland and UK, while also supporting our distributors across Europe.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in building a brand, copywriting and design, website management and digital marketing. Experience using CRM and databases is preferred. Occasional travel within Europe will be required to attend machinery shows and other events (once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted).
We are looking for someone who is committed, organised and adaptable, who can work autonomously and who has project management experience.
Source potential advertising opportunities to promote the brand and products in Ireland and the UK (including online adverts, relevant newspapers and magazines, etc.)
Build relationships with advertisers and suppliers to ensure best possible rates.
Liaise closely with Managing Director and sales colleagues for the next marketing opportunity.
Formulate & implement new marketing campaigns across multiple platforms to build relationships.
Analyse, review and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, including competitor markets, to continually improve results.
Monitor the activities of competitors and keep “an ear to the ground” to developments within the sector.
Help the sales team to identify prospective targets and support the development and implementation of a lead generation strategy through use of CRM (Zoho).
Coordinate research tasks (Google Ads, keyword performance, social media audits, competitor analysis, audience research, etc.) and use results to develop and implement campaign strategies.
Enact effective Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and drive the overall marketing strategy covering content creation, PPC, SEO, newsletters and email campaigns.
Work with colleagues to source, write, edit, and proof online and print content.
Be comfortable & confident in customer meetings and delivering presentations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Media, Marketing, Communications, Business)
Strong copywriting ability, creative thinker and able to develop compelling ad campaigns
Ability to create social content, brochures and professional publications using Adobe InDesign (highly desirable)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with good commercial insight.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details.
Self-motivated and able to work reliably and autonomously within a fast-changing market.
Ability to prioritise tasks and ensure deadlines are achieved.
