Main purpose of the job

To enable the organisation to maximise the contribution of people to the delivery of the organisation’s goals


Key duties and responsibilities


Human Resources Administration

Maintain the company time and attendance system.

Recruitment & Selection – liaising with the Marketing department to create the relevant job advertisements, obtaining prices and advertising through various recruitment channels, the scheduling of interviews, employment offers, Production employees Terms & Conditions of Employment and Induction plan.

Absence Management – Ensuring Return to Work Forms are sent to Manager/Supervisor and interviews are completed in a timely manner.

Discipline & Grievance Procedures – The scheduling of disciplinary/grievance investigations/hearings as necessary.



Occupational Health – managing monthly visits.

Maintenance of the company HR Tracker.

Assisting in the organising of activities throughout the calendar year to enhance employee engagement and morale.

Maintenance of the company e-learning platforms.

Performance Management – assisting in the document provision for the annual appraisal process and probationary reviews.

Conducting weekly payroll in a timely manner.

Administration of Employee Benefits – Health Shield.

Annual Leave administration.

Actively organise school visits and factory tours to promote Telestack in the local community and STEM subjects.


Health & Safety

Active member of the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee.

Update and maintain Accident and Near Miss Register driving timely closure of any actions.

Maintenance of the Master Action Log and driving actions to be completed in a timely manner.

Assisting in the administration in relation to tool box talks.


Other Administrations duties to include but not limited to;

Reception duties as and when required – Incoming calls/ Meeting & greeting visitors that arrive to Telestack premises/ Opening and distributing post/ Preparing and serving Water/Tea/Coffee/Lunch to visitors/ Town runs into Shop/Post Office/Bank.

Assisting with Production timesheets and Design Engineer timesheets.

Administration tasks in relation to the company Integrated Management System (IMS) – ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environmental), ISO45001 (Health & Safety).

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.

A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an administrative role, preferably in an HR environment.

Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Maintain confidentiality.

Interact and maintain good working relationships with all Departments.

Carry out multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Strong organisational skills

Demonstrate excellent communication and numerical skills, both written and verbal.



Working towards or have completed a CIPD qualification, Level 3 or above

CIPD Membership

Experience of working in an engineering environment

Competent user of Sage 50 Payroll
