Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a rapidly growing and progressive company.

CHARLES HUGHES LTD, a leading supplier of workwear, personal protective equipment, safety footwear and outdoor clothing based in Westport Co Mayo is currently seeking applications for the role of Accounts Administrator. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 4,000 staff worldwide with sales in over 130 countries and 100 people based in their headquarters in Westport.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable/Creditors Management

Payment runs

Coding and posting invoices

Bank reconciliations

Employee benefits and expense management

Revenue Returns

Month end journals

Maintenance of fixed asset register

Credit control cover when required

Preparation of management accounts

Year End Audit Process

Project work and other duties as required

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

At least 5 years' experience in an account’s role

Accounts technician qualification or other accounting qualification required

Experience of working in a SME and/or accounting firm

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Organised with a high level of attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Strong systems knowledge and IT proficiency

Excellent Excel proficiency
