We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our busy finance team. This is a 1 year fixed contract. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years experience in Irish payroll. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who is looking to gain more exposure/experience in a busy finance team assisting in the provision of payroll for 1,600 employees. The role is ideally suited to a strong administrator with excellent excel and numerical skills with good knowledge of the Irish Taxation system. This is a three day week role required to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the role will involve the following:

Main Responsibilities

Ensuring the accurate and timely end to end processing of the bi-weekly payroll for the Company

Creating a merge document in excel using vlookup formulas to insert data.

Balancing timesheet hours against contract hours to ensure correct payment.

Administering third party deductions, i.e. Pension, Social Welfare, LPT

Completing control checks prior to transmitting the final payroll figures to the Bank(s)

Maintaining the payroll systems (Megapay) i.e. new employees, leavers, annual leave, absences etc.,accurately and in line with legislative and company policies.

Responding to all payroll queries for employees.

Assisting the Finance Team as and when required.

Completion of various Social Welfare forms and casual dockets.

Adhere to Company policies and procedures.

Any other duties as reasonably requested by Management.

Candidate Profile

Possess a high level of attention to detail and integrity.

Possess the ability to work under pressure / to deadlines.

Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required.

Proficient user of MS Office, particularly Excel – Advanced level required.

Strong Numerical Ability

Competencies Required

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll administration – strong focus on excel and numerical tasks

IPASS qualification desirable

Complete understanding of Irish PAYE & PRSI systems

Strong communication skills
