Are you looking for an exciting and challenging career? We are currently recruiting Apprentice Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanics to join our team. You will be trained to the highest possible technical standards and will acquire, amongst many other skills, the ability to maintain all kinds of vehicles, including busses, trailers and trucks, also milk & oil tankers, refuse trucks and even fire engines.

Kerry Truck Services owns a state of the art premises conveniently located between Killarney and Tralee.

The apprenticeship will be approximately 4-4½ years in duration. During this period the successful candidate will undergo 7 phases of training consisting of both “on-the-job” and “off-the-job” training.

The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive training program during the apprenticeship.
On-The-Job training will consist of:

Servicing and maintaining vehicles – in accordance with manufacturer’s standards and procedures.
Diagnostics – Fault finding, recommending & carrying out repairs.
13 week Inspections and Brake tests
General workshop training – safety, environmental, job card write ups, use of equipment, time management & recording, vehicle electronic systems
Weekly Workshop and Valet Bay Cleaning
Off-The-Job training will consist of:
