Financial Controller – 13 month contract 

Responsibilities

Managing the preparation of monthly management accounts to tight deadlines including commentary, KPIs and board pack
Managing a team of two and overseeing all aspects of the finance function – Tax returns, bank reconciliations, accounts payable & receivable, payroll etc
Maintaining the integrity of financial information in compliance with relevant legislation and internal accounting policies
Coordinating and overseeing of the month end accounts timetable
Management of monthly cashflow requirements
Ensure all tax returns (P30/VAT/RCT) are filed on time and the company is fully tax compliant
Leading the preparation of the annual budgeting process
Reviewing of variance analysis against budget and prior year figures
Attending monthly directors’ meetings to discuss financial performance of the company and highlight key issues
Management of accounting package to ensure information output is correct and add-ons are installed correctly
Coordinating and managing of year end statutory audit and liaising with company auditors
Carry out other such duties as required by management

Requirements

Fully Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA

Minimum 5 years post qualified experience, experience in construction sector an advantage

Experience working as a finance manager

Excellent communicator

Excellent attention to detail

Strong accounting knowledge of AP & GL

Advanced knowledge of Excel & strong IT systems experience
