Job Duties:
Guitar production trainees:
Machine Shop.
Preparation of material for part making.
Use of woodworking machinery.
Daily targets for machined components.
Delivery of finished components to a schedule.
Polishing Shop:
Sanding and finishing of wooden instruments to an extremely high standard.
Preparing guitars ready for spraying lacquer.
Spraying coats of lacquer to achieve a flawless finish.
Final Assembly:
Setup and assembly of a finished guitar.
Installing components and with care to a set of instructions.
High attention to detail and care when handling finished product.
Extensive knowledge of guitar setup*
Neck Jointing:
Assembly of Neck to Body of guitar.
Fine adjustments made by hand to ensure a clean, precise neck joint.
Quality Assurance / QC:
Careful examination process to ensure all quality standards are met.
High attention to detail and care when handling finished product.
Extensive Knowledge of guitar setup.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential Criteria:
Excellent time management skills
Excellent punctuality and attendance
Proven record of following instructions and meeting tight deadlines
Positive and enthusiastic attitude to work and a good work ethic
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in a similar role (factory/wood workshop)
CNC experience
Experience in fine woodworking and/or finishing wooden products
Joinery/bench joinery experience
Wood machinist experience
Experience with woodworking hand tools
Experience/understanding of guitar manufacturing/repair
Willingness to take on more responsibilities
Willingness to learn/participate in training opportunities
Permanent / Full-time
