Sheehy Motor Group has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Warranty & Bodywork Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to join the aftersales team and learn all aspects of the warranty and bodywork administration process.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience in an administrative capacity and prior experience within the motor industry and of the Kerridge system would also be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of the role and will become proficient in the co-ordination and processing of warranty claims for our Skoda, Volkswagen and Audi franchises and will be able to provide guidance and assistance to the aftersales teams on all warranty and bodywork related matters.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday permanent position based at our dealership in Naas.

Following extensive training the successful candidate will be able to:

Understand the warranty claim process for each manufacturer

Be able to accurately cost all warranty jobs

Be able to record, check and process all claim information in line with manufacturer conditions

Ensure timely processing of Warranty claims to respective Manufacturers

Thorough understanding of the goodwill process and be able to process all goodwill requests

Investigate and query unsettled and short paid claims and assess their causes.
Record and control the systems for parts returns and inspections.

Provide advice and assistance to the Aftersales Teams in relation to warranty repairs

Ensure all internal and external communications are of the highest standards

Manage and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, dealers/ customers and any other external partner

Preparation of Bodywork estimates

Processing of all bodywork claims and management of all payments

Managing 3rd party bodywork suppliers and ensuring all costs are allocated accordingly

Strong administrative skills

Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform under pressure

Flexible and adaptable to change

Positive ‘can do’ attitude

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High level of attention to detail

Excellent PC skills

Key Competencies

Minimum of three years’ experience in a fast-paced administrative role

Prior experience working within the motor industry in an aftersales position would be a distinct advantage

Prior experience of preparing bodywork estimates would be a distinct advantage

Be fluent in verbal and written English.

Knowledge of Kerridge would be a distinct advantage

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment

Full Clean Driving Licence
