To monitor and check product against standards to ensure high standard and consistency daily
Ensure product is to standard required before presenting to staff or guest
Support kitchen porters during quiet periods and carry out KP duties in their absence during quiet weeks
Ensure efficient and quick service for all orders and deliver any special requests or dietary requirements as quickly and efficiently as possible To report all guest feedback to a supervisor or Manager
Assist in maintaining the quality of the Hotel and ensure guests are offered high standards throughout at all times
To assist in achieving annual awards and goals set out by supervisors
To ensure all departmental checklists are completed and checked by supervisor before going off duty and complete any outstanding issues
Assist in positively promoting Sales within department and others and maximize every sales opportunity
Assisting in controlling departmental and hotel costs at all times
Assist in stock control measures implemented, in order to achieve budgeted profit margins
Ensure security of stock, cash and equipment at all times
Greet guests with smile and warm welcome if in public areas for any reason
To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special activities going on in the hotel/area
To wear clean, suitable uniform and name badge at all times.
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming
To be committed to the hotel’s recycling policy and procedure and to ensure that all items are recycled in accordance with this policy
To understand HACCP policies and procedures and abide by them in front and back of house
To actively participate in any training and personal exercises designed to improve standards and performance levels.

HEALTH & SAFETY
To fulfil your obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1989 and any revisions or additional legislation made thereto.
To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of you, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises.
To keep your work area tidy and safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management.
To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of the first aid box.
To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement for your place of work.
To participate in fire and accident drills as directed by the hotel safety officer.
To inform management immediately in the event that you are personally involved in any accident or incident on the hotel grounds or if you are witness to an accident or incident involving a third party, e.g. colleague, guest or visit agent.
To keep staff/work areas tidy safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management and observe all requirements under Health and Safety at Work act (1989).
Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct and/or security duties as laid down in assignment instructions, which will be amended as required, will be seen as Gross Misconduct and be dealt with under the disciplinary procedure of the Security Department.
