A Market Development Manager owns the roll-out of Bamboo to restaurants and cafés in targeted areas of cities. They are responsible for mapping out the ideal clients that should be added to our platform, pitching Bamboo’s service and closing them. The successful candidate is entrepreneurial, hungry for a challenge and results driven. You will be core to the expansion and success of Bamboo in a city.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creating sales strategy to grow business within new hyper-localities and execute at speed

Map and target restaurants with a very methodical and organised approach

Prospecting new restaurant accounts, initiating contact and creating relationships

Pitching and closing new accounts to then pass over to the on boarding and customer success teams

Being responsible for your metrics and KPI’s which affect top-line revenue growth

Hiring, training and managing new Business Development hires to drive KPI’s for your territories

Focus on the growth and development of the Business Development team, with a focus on managing by example

What Skill’s You’ll Need

Minimum of 4+ years experience in business development, sales management or similar

You must be comfortable with targeting new business and have proven Sales Experience

The job requires great communication skills whether it be face to face, through phone or email.

Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus
