Grange House Limited trading as Uppercross House Hotel is looking for a full-time Web Designer & Developer to join our team.

Responsible for develop, design and coding the company´s website and applications to max-imise visual effectiveness and facilitate appropriate access; Liaise with management in order to define the requirements for the company´s website; Designs and develops web interfaces for relational database systems; Establishes methods to ensure appropriate website security and recovery; Writes and publishes content for the website; Ensure content and imagery is up to date across multiple tour operator channels to optimise hotel sales; Tests website inter-action and performance prior to going live, and monitors and maintains functionality of the website; Integrate data from various back end services and databases including the hotel booking engine and various channel managers; Ensure website functions and stability across devices (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc); Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs for hospitality industry; Work closely with the mar-keting manager to enhance the company´s online presence.

Qualifications required for this role:

BSc in Web Design & Development, Computer Science or closely related discipline; Excellent software

development skills;

Experience in website administration and management and configuring sites, domains, databases, SSLs, SSH access, backups etc; Experience in Design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and application programming interfaces; Understanding of page performance importance and related techniques; Knowledge of mobile/responsive design; Understanding between content, design and functionality; Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process; A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices; Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools; Problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills; Clear and concise communication skills in the English language (written and spoken); A positive mindset and can-do attitude; Strong attention to detail.
