On behalf of Bord Gais, JVCommunications are looking for experienced GAS Service Engineers. We're looking for Sub Contractor or Full-time experienced technical engineers to carry out a range of home product services in a safe and competent manner, including gas servicing and repairs. You will deliver all Bord Gáis Energy Boiler Services products in line with current regulations, industry best practice and Bord Gais Energy's technical operational procedures.

About the Role
Service, repair, and safety inspection of a wide range of domestic heating appliances and installations.
First time diagnosis and repair of gas appliance and system faults
Upgrade, installation, service and repair of central heating control systems, including wireless and internet optimised controls
Carry out a range of electrical safety tests on installations to current gas and electrical regulations.
Correctly locate, install and test CO alarms to current standards
Responsibility for all aspects of gas installation and customer safety
Generate, organise and maintain all Bord Gáis Energy required documentation and required regulatory certificates and notices (e.g. Certs and NOHZ) in real time.
Participation in the Bord Gáis health, safety and quality system
Organising specific onsite requirements of customers in a friendly and timely manner
Carrying out all works to customers and Bord Gais Energy's satisfaction
Implementing new standards and procedures in accordance with current standards and legislation and any changes to working practices deemed necessary by Bord Gais Energy.
Currently registered with the Register Gas Installers of Ireland (RGII) as a registered service engineer
Current G1/GID (or equivalent) and an in-date certificate
G3/GIFF/DSC servicing qualification preferable
An excellent understanding and interpretation of IS813 Domestic Gas Installations Standard
At least 5 years' experience servicing a range of Standard Efficiency and High Efficiency appliances in a major utility business model
Plumbing craft certificate or equivalent is an advantage
Advanced understanding of gas appliance safety controls and testing methods
Understanding of central heating fundamentals
Experience working on electrical systems and controls for gas installations
Good knowledge of current ETCI electrical tests and standards that apply to gas installation
Excellent knowledge of the correct use of Electronic Combustion Gas Analyzers to BS7967 and interpretation of results
Full clean Irish driving license
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with the general public
Ability to organise and execute work in a timely manner
