Job Description:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Purchasing Officer’s primary responsibility is to work along side the Mechanical Engineers assisting with procurement/purchasing function within the business. • Processing supplier invoices, identifying problem invoices, querying invoices with suppliers • Receiving and checking all deliveries • Carry out admin duties for procurement department • The Purchasing/Procurement officer will be responsible for the procuring goods and services, and plant and equipment (hired and owned) • Negotiate prices with suppliers • Identifying potential Suppliers and liaise with both new and existing suppliers to build and maintain good working relationships • Place orders with assigned suppliers at regular intervals and ensure the prompt delivery of these orders • Liaise with site management on material and plant requirements • Work closely with accounts payable and be a point of contact for AP queries • Perform monthly and ad-hoc analysis, projects and any other assigned tasks and duties as directed to support the team.
