Job Duties:
MIG Welding a variety of components from 2-20mm thick.

Key duties:
Set up and operate a MIG welder, work as part of a committed team to Weld a wide variety of components to required quality standards.
Working with engineers advising of improvements to may your job easier.
Welding of all metal assemblies to the required standards.
Proper handling of machines product and tooling at all times.
Producing quality components and on time.
Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
Quality inspection
Depending on skills, but there may be an opportunity to do other fabrication shop duties.
Health & Safety, safe working Practice.
Possible opportunity to develop to Robotic welding operation.

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential:
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Can read and understand engineering drawings.
Able to produce welds to consistently high standard.
Working knowledge of welder settings.
Fully capable of working with jigs, fixtures and hand build fabrications to a high standard of accuracy.
Able to trouble shoot welding problems.
Ability to work in a team.

Desirable:
4 GCSEs.
Qualification in Engineering or Fabrication.
Welding within an Engineering environment.
Health & Safety knowledge.
