
Description
Our client is hiring Utility Surveyors of all levels, from Trainees with no prior experience to Lead Surveyors to join them in Dublin.
The Role:
• Using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), electromagnetic location (Cat & Genny), and GPS to locate underground utilities like water pipes, gas lines, electrical cables, sewers, and telecommunications lines.
• Creating detailed maps and records of the identified utilities, noting their position, depth, and route.
• Updating new or revised utility data.
• Collecting accurate geospatial data regarding the utilities’ location using GPS or GIS technology.
• Analysing data to ensure precision and resolve conflicts with existing utility records.
• Adhering to safety and regulatory standards, including those set by local authorities, utility companies, and health and safety laws.
• Communicating findings and hazards to Managers, Designers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Conducting site surveys before and during excavation to ensure ongoing accuracy.
• Assessing risks associated with disturbing underground utilities and advising the project team on best practices.
The Person:
• Prior experience, or an interest in, Utility or Land Surveying
• Full, clean, Irish, EU, or International Drivers License
• Flexibility and willingness to travel in the Leinster region
• Eligibility to Work in Ireland
